Business and leisure travellers have access to the best Heathrow Parking options. Here's our overview of car parking services available at London Heathrow, both on-airport and off-airport.
Compare Heathrow Airport Parking
Why should you compare your airport parking options at Heathrow? Comparing all options means you not only get the cheapest price for your trip, but also the car park best suited to you. If you're travelling with the family, you may find the Meet and Greet Service is best suited to you, if you're not carrying huge amounts of luggage then a cheaper off-airport car park may the be the best car park at the best price for you - they often come with airport shuttle buses to get you between the car parks and your terminal. By comparing all types of airport car parks, from short stay to business parking, you'll be sure to get the cheapest price for what you need and be able to relax, knowing it's all pre-booked and taken care of.
Heathrow Meet & Greet Parking
Meet & Greet Parking involves you dropping off your car in a dedicated area where a representative of the car parking company will take your car keys and park the vehicle on your behalf. You can then proceed to the check-in hassle-free. Upon your return, you either need to go to the Meet & Greet Reception or call a phone number provided and your car will be returned to you. This process differs slightly based on whether you opt to park with the official Heathrow Meet & Greet or an alternative independent parking company.
Alternatives: Several companies offer chauffeur-driven Meet and Greet services, such as Purple Parking, APH Meet & Greet, and Good to Go.
Heathrow Long Stay Parking
Aimed at travellers who are going to be away for more than a couple of days, Heathrow Airport's own three official car parks offer excellent secure parking facilities. They operate all year round, all have been awarded the Park Mark award, and are easily accessible.
The on-airport car parks serve T2, T3, T4 and T5 and offer free courtesy coach services transferring customers to and from the terminals. They are manned 24 hours and have a total amount of 5684 spaces available.
Alternatives: One of the main off-airport Heathrow parking compounds is Purple Parking, based about 15 minutes away. The largest car park in the London Heathrow area, this compound has the capacity of nearly 13,000 spaces. The car park is open all year round and suitable for both long and short stays as there is no minimum stay. There are plenty of other off-airport options now, too, so you can pick one that suits you. These are usually cheaper than the on-airport options, but it may take longer to get connected to and from the terminal buildings via the transfer bus. Keep an eye out for how frequent the transfers are so you know how long you should have to wait.
If parking further away does not suit you, and you prefer your car to be parked at the airport, you can choose from a range of options that cater to all terminals. Some car parks are much closer and have shorter transfer times of just 3-5 minutes.

About Heathrow Airport
The busiest airport in the UK, London Heathrow occupies approximately 1,227 hectares, boasts four operating terminals, has two runways, and serves 184 destinations in 80 countries. Its passenger traffic is growing every year and is fast approaching 80 million!
Heathrow Airport has four operating terminals; Terminal 2, 3, 4 and 5 with Terminal 1 closing in 2015. Each terminal has an array of facilities to support passengers before their flight. Terminals 2 and 3 are connected and can be walked between, but terminals 4 and 5 require separate transport. For this reason, it is important to take note of which terminal you are flying from or arriving into to make sure your transport connections will go smoothly. If you want more useful tips about Heathrow Airport and the options available there, you can check out our in depth tips and tricks for Heathrow Airport.
If you require Special Assistance at the airport you can find out what assistance they offer on their website.
Heathrow is almost a self-contained city with a population of 60,000 workers. It's hard to believe that this monstrous architectural and engineering feat started life as a small grass airfield, originally used for flying tests. Commercial flights departed from nearby Heston and Hanworth Park airfields. In 1944 it was taken over by the Air Ministry to be transformed into a transport base to be used by the Royal Air Force during the war. But before it was completed the war ended and Heathrow had massive commercial potential, being so close to the capital. This was its starting point and it developed into the major international airport we know today.
At Heathrow, there are many parking options available for everyone. If you want the most convenient and easy option, then your options are: Heathrow Meet and Greet, 5 Star Meet and Greet, MBW Meet and Greet and Blue Circle Meet and Greet. If you want to park close to the terminal, you should park at Short Stay - it’s only a 2 or 3-minute walk to the terminal! But if you didn’t mind getting a bus, then Heathrow Long Stay parking and Heathrow Q-Park Self Park are convenient and affordable. If you are a business traveller, there’s even business parking available.
At Heathrow’s Long Stay, you get the first half an hour completely free.
You cannot change your booking online if you have arrived at the car park. If you have booked a flexible option and you need to extend it, you should be able to do this by speaking to whoever your booking is with. If you need to extend your parking once you have arrived, you'll need to call the car park directly.
Prices will vary depending on the type of parking you are booking. Meet and Greet, for example, tends to be the most expensive, but the most convenient. The cheapest airport parking at Heathrow tends to be the Long Stay options.

Great service, thanks

Dropping the car off could not have gone better. The pick up was not so smooth and involved quite a long wait after they said I had not contacted them on landing which was not true. Overall however I was happy with the service provided.

Driver was late to collect my vehicle. I was asked to wait in passenger drop off area of terminal 5, due to the amount of time i was left there waiting, I was threatened by a police officer to be fined. He did not appreciate at all that i was waiting for an official airport valet. Which caused me to have to keep circling around the terminal numerous times until the valet driver arrived. The driver was apologetic, and gave good customer service. But overall it was a stressful situation.

Booking was straight forward and a good price, dropping the car at t5 worked well. picking up the car was poor. we called when we landed, but then tried to call when we had the luggage, which went through to answer phone. the second number was switched off. after a number of calls we spoke to the help desk and our car arrived 40 minutes after us. on the plus side this is the first company not to unplug the camera which raised the rating back up to average.
