This is Birmingham airport’s closest off-site car park, being just 4 miles from the airport. The transfer takes just under 15 minutes and buses run every 25-30 minutes. Customers should allow longer in peak times: the recommendation is to allow 50 minutes. Cars are parked by attendants so keys should be left.

Arrival procedure

Please check your booking confirmation for details.

Park in one of the arrivals bays and head to reception to check in. You should bring a copy of your booking confirmation with you.

Your car will be parked for you while you catch the transfer bus to the airport, so you'll need to leave your car keys with reception. You'll be given a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it when you return. Just make your way to the waiting area in the car park.

We recommend that you allow 50 minutes from checking into the car park to reaching the airport terminal.

Departure procedure

Please check your booking confirmation for details.

The Airparks bus will take you back to the car park to collect your car. You'll need to catch the bus from stop A outside the terminal. You'll need to show the ticket you were given when you checked in to the driver. When you get back to the car park, you'll need to go into reception with your ticket. After you've collected your keys from reception, drive to the exit barrier and scan the barcode attached to your keys to get out. If you lose your ticket, you'll need to answer some security questions and show a photo ID, so make sure you have one.

If you return early, please contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible; otherwise there may be a delay before you get your car back. You won't be given a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

Security

The car park is protected by CCTV, a high fence, entry and exit barriers, floodlighting and regular patrols. It has been awarded the Park Mark security award from the police.

Insurance

Parking is always at the vehicle owner's own risk.

Disabled facilities

All Airparks buses have disabled access.

Additional information

Vehicles with a taxi license plate can be parked on-site, but cannot use the Return Greet or Meet and Greet services offered by Airparks.

Electric vehicle charging is available but you will need to book an option with electric vehicle charge included to ensure availability and make sure your car will be charged.

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, during busy times you may need to wait for a bus with more space, so please make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

The car park has a comfortable waiting area, refurbished restrooms with baby-changing facilities, hot and cold drinks, luggage scales and live departure boards.

We recommend that you give yourself 45 minutes to drop your car off and transfer to the airport - longer in rush hour, or if there is a major exhibition at the NEC - you can check on www.necgroup.co.uk.

If you're delayed picking your car up, you'll need to pay for the extra parking at the car park's normal rate (which is more expensive than the price you pay when you book with us). If you pick your car up early, unfortunately we can't give you a refund. If you're going to come back early, please let Airparks know, if you can.

The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers or vehicles larger than the following maximum dimensions: 2m width x 2.1m height x 5m length.

Return Greet Time Saver

Return Greet Time Saver by Airparks Birmingham service means you don't have to get a return transfer when you arrive back at Birmingham airport. Instead, Airparks will bring your car to the terminal for your collection.

On return, call Airparks on 0121 789 8585 once you have collected your bags. Come out of the arrivals hall and cross the road to the drop and go car park by the taxi rank. Your chauffeur will meet you by the central pay station. You should have a copy of your booking confirmation with you, as well as the card you were given when you dropped your car off.

Airparks Birmingham Self-Park

With this package customers park their car themselves and keep their keys. You still need to check in at reception, but you can pick your car up straightaway on the way back instead of having to collect their keys from reception. Please choose this option when booking.

Airparks Birmingham Non-Flexible

Bookings made for this package cannot be cancelled or amended and are non-refundable.

Airparks Birmingham with free Electric Charge

If you book this product, you will get your electric vehicle fully charged whilst you're away.

Please make sure you leave your charging cable in your vehicle so that the car park can charge it for you whilst you're away.

Airparks Charge and Go

The team will park and charge your car for your return – they'll need your charging cable. So please bring it with you and leave it in your vehicle. Upon arrival follow the blue cones and park next to the cabin. You will then be checked in and the site operator will take photographs of your vehicle before moving it to the charging area. On your return your charged car will be parked in the Blue Zone, Row A or B.

AVOID THIS PLACE Arrived back from our holiday at 5am after a lengthy travel to find our front windscreen has been cracked whilst in Airparks possession. Airparks taking no responsibility and we have been dealt with in a very unprofessional matter. Why should we claim on our insurance policy for the windscreen crack when we left our car in the capable hands of airparks to be securely parked. We have used this car park 7 times in the past but definitely WILL NOT AGAIN

First time using Airparks as was offered discount for NHS staff. I found the staff very friendly, but I found the whole process long and a lot of waiting around. I was under the Impression that buses run every 15 minutes, therefore thinking that I would check in and get on the bus and go straight to the airport. Reality was, I sat on the bus for 25 minutes waiting until everyone had checked in and parked, then another 15 mins to the airport. I understand they probably want the bus to be as full as possible but maybe it needs to mentioned? Upon return, my flight was very late, and it was wet and cold. I waited 45 minutes for the bus, again I feel they wait for a lot of flights to come then send the bus. If your flight is in first, like mine then be prepared to wait for it. My flight arrived at 11.45 and I finally arrived at my car at 1.30am. Not the every 15 minute service as advertised. The price was good, the staff were friendly enough, and the process of checking in and out is simple enough. Me personally there was far too much waiting around which I don’t like, especially on a late flight home. Unfortunately i won’t be using the service again. If you don’t mind the hanging around, then it’s a great service.

The arrival to Airparks was simple and the staff was helpful getting us checked in, however I was so disappointed with the lack of support the staff was on the return. No empathy towards the elderly who clearly didn’t understand how to retrieve their car keys, to the point where I had to help one elderly gentleman myself. Just because the staff do this day in day out, doesn’t mean they should get so frustrated with people who haven’t used the machine before. Customer service at its worst and there was no need for rudeness. A suggestion would also be to make the colour system more transparent when collecting your keys or make a greater emphasis on this when checking in.

Great Service. Car was left there for almost 3 weeks and brakes were locked. We asked for help and a guy called 'Rom' came. He was really helpful and managed to resolve the issue. A really nice guy, thank you for the great customer service!
