Here at Airport Parking Shop, we are always trying to supply you with ways to make your journey as easy, stress-free and cheap as possible! As keen travellers ourselves, we do understand that jet-setting can actually be a hugely anxious experience – from getting to the airport safely and on-time, right through to boarding the correct flight before the gate closes.

How can we make this experience more enjoyable and less stressful, I hear you ask? Okay, so we’re not admitting we can completely take out the worry and distress of travelling (after all, we’re not miracle workers) but we do have a really simple idea which we definitely think you should consider.

Explore our collection of the best Staycation Ideas for the UK

Staycation has become more and more popular in the past few years and became even more during the pandemic as many people didn’t want to or weren’t allowed to travel abroad. However, even with travel restrictions eased, staycations are still a great idea as they’re cheap, environmentally friendly and much less stressful! So, we’ve rounded up 10 of the best staycation locations in the UK that you’ll very much enjoy exploring!

Simply put, we holiday in the country we live in rather than venture overseas. Over the years we have seen a steady rise in the staycation and if Summer / Autumn 2020 were anything to go by, we’d say this this is still pretty true…until the local lockdowns happened, that is…

That being said, once things return to ‘normal’, some may still feel too nervous to fly overseas and for some, they may have come to discover the beauty that lies on their doorstep. It wouldn’t be a bad choice – The UK is home to hundreds of hidden beauty spots, glittering coastlines and romantic hideouts, suitable for all types of trip.

Let’s take a look at our 10 most favourite UK staycation locations that rival our overseas counterparts… Read More

Yes I know, the fares are cheap on budget flights for a reason (Oh my, do I know!) but whacking on an extra £100 surely negates the whole “budget” thing, doesn’t it?! Read More

Flying after a stroke, written by Different Stroke charity

Content written in collaboration with stroke charity Different Strokes.

Over the years, we’ve written many health and travel articles, including Autism, Diabetes, Sensory Impairments and Mental Health. These were usually through our own research, conducting surveys and the like, but when it came to travelling after a stroke, we wanted to work with Different Strokes.

They provide active peer support for young stroke survivors and families and have kindly written the following piece to shed some light on the hidden challenges that some stroke survivors encounter at airports and when flying. You’ll also hear from stroke survivors and their experiences of flying after a stroke.

With that, let’s hand over to Different Strokes to bring your their insight into flying after a stroke.
