East Midlands Mid Stay 1

Previously called East Midlands Medium Term car park this is a Park Mark on-site facility a few minutes’ walk from the terminal. Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology is in operation so customers should ensure that they give the correct details when booking. Large vehicles such as motor homes and caravans are not allowed to park here.

Leave the M1 at junction 24 from the North, following Ashby Road, or junction 23A from the South. At the roundabout, take the exit for Ashby Road. Continue straight over the mini-roundabout. Take a right signposted for the Thistle hotel. Take the first exit at the roundabout. Follow Viscount Road straight over another roundabout. You will find the car park on the right just before the end of the road.

Arrival procedure

We operate an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system so it is essential you have entered the correct vehicle registration when making your booking.

We recommend that you bring a copy of your confirmation with you.

On arrival, please drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate. This can take up to a minute.

If nothing happens, please press the button marked "assistance" to speak to a member of staff through the intercom.

Please don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking. Also, don't press the ticket button as this will stop you being able to gain entry.

Then just walk to the terminal.

Departure procedure

Please check your booking confirmation for details.

On your return, please walk back to your car, drive to the exit barrier and it will lift to let you out. This can take up to a minute. If it doesn't, press the button marked "assistance" and a member of staff will let you out.

Please don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you will be charged again for your parking.

Security

The car park is protected by 24-hour CCTV, entry and exit barriers and a fence, and is lit at night. Security guards patrol the car park every hour, 24 hours a day. The car park has also been awarded the Park Mark, a security award for car parks which is accredited by the police.

Insurance

The Airport is insured for damage caused by their own negligence but will not normally accept responsibility for the acts of a third party. Full details are available from the car park on request.

Additional information

No motor homes, lorries, trailers or caravans are permitted even if multiple spaces are booked.

This car park is a self-park facility where you park your own vehicle and retain your keys.
