The car park has an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system, so make sure you enter your vehicle registration number correctly when you make your booking.

Security

Long Stay Terminal 4 is protected by 24-hour CCTV and is manned 24 hours a day and patrolled regularly. It has a perimeter fence, lighting at night and entry and exit barriers.

The car park holds the AA/Police Gold Award, the highest security award a car park can hold, and the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Insurance

Parking is at the owner's own risk and is subject to the terms and conditions of the car park.

Disabled facilities

There are disabled parking bays next to reception. However, the transfer buses are not wheelchair accessible. If you need wheelchair access, you'll need to let the car park know in advance so they can arrange transport for you.

Additional information

The bus stops in the car park and outside terminal 4 are sheltered.

Transfers between 10.30pm and 5am are provided on demand. If you need to get from the airport to the car park between these times, you should call the car park on 020 8897 0667, and the transfer bus will come and get you.

Parking prices are calculated in 24-hour blocks, starting from the time you arrive at the car park. If you park for more days than you booked, the car park will charge you for the extra days at its normal rate when you come back. If you leave the car park early, unfortunately we can't give you a refund.

You need to give us your car registration number either when you book, or sometime before you go. It needs to be the right one - if you change the car you're going to be travelling in, you need to give us the new details. You must do this, or the car park will charge you £10 when you leave, because if they don't have the right registration number, it holds things up when you arrive and leave.

No commercial vehicles are allowed.

Very close to terminal and regular buses. However the buses don't like picking up passengers. If you are not at the bus stop before the bus arrives it won't wait even if you are a few feet away. This happened to me on way to the airport and to a family with young children from the airport. Drivers have a line that there is a bus just behind. Such a shame that they taint a great situation. I missed a bus pulling away from the car park. The driver would have seen me but elected to drive off even though very quiet and only 2 people on board. The next bus said he was driving around and would be back. He never returned. The next one was drop off only so make sure you allow an extra 10 minutes for a bus that will stop.

Long Stay would have had a 5 score. Parking was easy, pick up and drop off both ways was very easy and within the 10 mins. Escaping at the end of holiday was not so easy but after thinking and then ignoring the lane directions which ment driving back and forward for some 5 minutes approached the night security both / office where I could clearly see the security office on the computer with one of the web browsers sites. It needed a shout to attract his attention. If this was security it was not very good having been driving back and forth after picking up vehicle. Easy to leave without any problems.

All went well until leaving when the system did not acknowledge that I had prepaid and asked for a payment of over £400. I pressed the assistance button and the lady on the other end sorted it all out very quickly. All praise to her.
