Directions

Leave the M25 at junction 29 and take the A127 Southend Arterial Road into Essex - it's the first exit if you're travelling from the north, and the third exit if you're travelling from the south. Follow the road for about 20 miles, and continue straight onto Prince Avenue. Take the third exit at the large roundabout to stay on the road. Turn left at the traffic lights onto Rochford Road. At the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs for the airport. Take the second exit at the mini-roundabout. The Short Stay car park is 200 yards on your right, where a Purple Parking driver will meet you.

Arrival procedure

Please call the car park when you’re about 15 minutes from the airport to let them know you're coming.

On arrival, please drive to the Short Stay car park when you'll be met by a driver from Purple Parking. The driver will take a photo and check your car over for damage. You'll be asked to give them your booking confirmation and car keys, as well as your return flight information. Then take a short walk to the terminal while a professional driver parks your car for you in a secured car park.

Please know that the Short Stay car park will charge you £4.50 to leave after a certain amount of time, so if you forget to call the car park before you get there, please don't enter the Short Stay car park but instead, pull up outside and call the car park.

Return procedure

On your return, please call the car park once you've collected your luggage to request the driver to meet you with the car. You'll be given instructions on where to meet your driver.

Please make sure you don't call Purple Parking before you've collected your bags; otherwise you'll need to pay £4.50 to leave the Short Stay car park as there is a 10-minute time limit for pick-ups and drop-offs.

Security

The car park has CCTV, entry and exit barriers and is manned 24 hours a day. It has been awarded the Park Mark award.

Disabled facilities

This service is suitable for disabled customers as transfers are not required.

Additional information

Purple Parking can only take cars that fit into a standard size parking space, which is 2.4m x 4.8m. Please note that if you’re bringing a long wheel based vehicle, you’ll be required to pay an additional supplement on arrival at the car park, which will equal half of the total cost of the booking.

The Short Stay car park will charge you £4.50 to leave after 10 minutes, so if you forget to call the car park before you get there, please don't enter the Short Stay car park but instead, pull up outside and call the car park. On your return, please make sure you don't call the car park before you've collected your bags; otherwise you'll need to pay £4.50 to leave the Short Stay car park.

At their discretion, Purple Parking will give you up until midnight on the date you have booked to collect your car. If you go into the next day, you will be charged £10 per day.

Bookings for this product include a No Wait Guarantee. They will refund you 50% if you have to wait longer than 10 minutes at either your arrival or return to the airport.
