Address:

Stansted Airport
Off Bassingbourn Roundabout
Thremhall Avenue
Essex
CM24 1PZ

Directions

Leave the M11 at junction 8 if you're travelling from the north and junction 8a if you're coming from the south. At the roundabout, you'll need to take the fourth exit if you're coming from the south, and the first if you're coming from the north, onto the A120 Thremhall Avenue. Take the third exit at the next roundabout. You should then drive down the slip road to the airport. You'll come to yet another roundabout, where you'll need to take the third exit. Shortly after, you'll come to the final roundabout and you'll need to take the first exit. After a short while, you should see the car park on your left.

Transfer from airport

Transfers run 24 hours a day, every 10 minutes and the journey takes just 7 minutes.

Arrival procedure

On arrival, please pull up to the car park’s barrier. It will read your number plate and open for you. If you have any problems, please press the button to talk to the car park’s team, but make sure you don’t push the button to take a ticket as you will be charged again for your parking.

Please try to get to the car park at least half an hour before your flight to make sure you have enough time.

When you’re ready, catch the transfer bus to the terminal.

Departure procedure

On your return, please catch the bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. If you tell the driver where you parked, he will try to drop you off nearby.

Once you've collected your car, drive to the barrier and it will open to let you out. If the barrier doesn’t open, press the button to speak to someone at the car park.

Security

The car park is fully covered by CCTV, including the entrance, and is patrolled 24 hours a day. It has also been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Disabled facilities

The car park has disabled toilets and disabled parking bays. Transfer buses have low floors.

Additional information

If you need any extra days' parking, the car park will charge you for the extra days at its normal rate. If you don't use all your parking, unfortunately we can't give you a refund for the unused days. Days are counted not from midnight to midnight but from the time you arrive at the car park.

You will need to give the car park your car registration number either when you book, or some time before you go. If you change the car you're going to be travelling in, you need to give them the new details.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 3.5m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

Pre booked and paid in advance. Car park was easy to find and enter. Bus transfer was very efficient. On return transfer buses came very fast. Couldn't get on first bus but next one came within five minutes.

Excellent service, showed me exactly what I needed, and I found a good rate and from the official airport parking itself. Booking went smoothly, everything worked well.

A car park has one main job to do - provide parking. We arrived on Saturday morning for one of the first flights out of Stansted to find that there were no car parking spaces left in any of the open car parking zones. None. We know this because we drove around each one at least once trying to find a space over a period of 25 minutes. Eventually we followed a car into a closed zone which had cars in and found that there was a single space available which we took. Needless to say the bus stop was closed so we had a lug our luggage to one for a zone that was open. I can definitely say that our experience was not a one off as we observed cars parked on verges - no doubt by travellers desperate not to miss their flights - with frost of their windows. This indicated that they had been parked at least the day before. Perhaps if you arrive after the first inbound flights have arrived you may be okay finding a space as the inbound travellers will be collecting their cars and freeing up spaces. However, on our experience I would definitely say beware using this car park particularly if your flight is early in the morning.
